No one wants to talk about diversity in tech anymore

Groups that advocated for diversity in tech, like Women Who Code and Girls in Tech, have been shutting down as Silicon Valley distances itself from the efforts amid right-wing backlash, The Washington Post reports. Their demise threatens long-fought efforts to make tech less white and male.

As we’ve previously reported, corporate America generally is no longer talking about DEI and related terms as much as they were a few years ago. The lack of funding for these non-profits suggest they’re not opening their wallets for these causes, either.
