Tilray’s Montauk beers will now be sold on JetBlue flights
Tilray shot up about 15% on Wednesday after it was announced that its Montauk beers would be sold on JetBlue flights.
It’s been a tough year for Tilray, a Canadian cannabis company that now sells about equal parts beer as it does weed. It’s been difficult to find room for growth in cannabis amid a tricky regulatory environment in the United States, where Tilray is still unable to make inroads.
It’s been able to find some growth in expanding beyond cannabis and into booze, which it can sell in the US — and now on domestic and international JetBlue flights. Tilray bought Montauk Brewing in 2022 and has continued to acquire more beer brands since.
