The markets didn’t close and the Empire State Building is fine

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit the East Coast of the US Friday morning, so far causing no damage or injuries and momentarily making Twitter fun again. The markets stayed open and the Empire State Building let everyone know it was fine.

Perhaps the person most impacted by the earthquake was a guy who was getting a vasectomy at the time and thought the doctor was messing with them: "It mostly felt like a speed bump,” he told The Guardian.
