In new court filings from a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by book authors, it was revealed that Meta forecast that it could make up to $1.4 trillion from generative AI by 2035.

That’s a lot of revenue for a product that it gives away for free!

Meta currently makes money on its Llama AI model from revenue sharing agreements with hosting companies, and is planning on incorporating ads and offering paid subscriptions at some point.

In Meta’s blowout earnings yesterday, the company said it made $41.4 billion in ad revenue for the quarter.
