Robinhood jumps after-hours on strong Q4 earnings
Shares of Robinhood jumped more than 10% in the after-hours trading session shortly after reporting much better-than-expected Q4 revenue and profit numbers.
The brokerage and financial services firm reported diluted earnings per share of $1.01, much higher than analyst forecasts for $0.42, according to FactSet. Total net revenues more than doubled versus the same period in 2023, to $1.01 billion.
The company capitalized on a surge of trading in crypto assets following the US presidential election. Crypto-related transaction revenue jumped over 700% to $358 million.
