Huang says Nvidia isn’t part of any Intel purchase party
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told reporters the AI chip giant isn’t part of any plan to purchase a stake in the ailing American semiconductor icon Intel. Retail interest in Intel shares has surged in recent weeks amid chatter that the Trump administration was pushing for some sort of acquisition of Intel’s semiconductor factories. But potential buyers, such as TSMC and now Nvidia, have poured cold water on such notions.
“Nobody’s invited us to a consortium,” Huang told reporters Wednesday. “Nobody invited me. Maybe other people are involved, but I don’t know. There might be a party. I wasn’t invited.”
