Detroit revs up EV sales
It’s a good day in Detroit, with Q4 sales figures for Ford and GM showing surges in EV sales, even after a lackluster showing for Tesla at the end of 2024.
Ford’s full-year EV sales were up 35%. GM’s were up over 50%. Tesla, meanwhile, saw sales decline slightly year over year.
While the sales uptick is welcome news for Ford, which been the laggard among the three automakers over the last year, it’s unclear if it will be enough to help it make up lost ground caused by costly quality issues that have weighed on margins.
