Cracker Barrel’s stock soars as it switches the logo back
Don’t panic, everyone: the man, the barrel, and the bit of text at the bottom will all be returned to their usual place on the Cracker Barrel logo. Shares are trading 7% higher early on Wednesday on the news.
Just one week (and a pretty huge social media storm) since it first announced the stripped-back rebrand, the Southern-themed restaurant chain announced the switch and thanked their guests for sharing their “voices and love” on the proposed redesign.
President Trump — who had, along with his son Donald Trump Jr., been among those bashing the new, text-only logo online — took the time to praise the decision on Truth Social:
The redesign had come as part of a broader plan to revamp its restaurants and revitalize sales growth at the 56-year-old chain.
