American Eagle soars after announcing collaboration with Travis Kelce (Taylor Swift’s fiancé)
American Eagle slid on Monday after Bank of America argued that its ad campaign with Sydney Sweeney wouldn’t be a big enough boost to offset the impact of tariffs.
American Eagle’s management has seemingly replied, “We see your concerns, and raise you Sydney Sweeney + Travis Kelce.”
Shares of the clothing company are up more than 5% after it announced a collaboration with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s Tru Kolors brand, which will include heavyweight, vintage-inspired tees, reimagined varsity jackets, and soft chenille pieces as well as cashmere sets, per the press release.
It’s a good time to capitalize on Kelce’s brand name, with the news coming just one day after the revelation that he and global music icon Taylor Swift have gotten engaged.
These limited-edition products will be made available in two drops made today and on September 24, per American Eagle.
