JPMorgan Chase reportedly close to deal for Apple’s credit card business

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is in advanced talks with JPMorgan Chase to take over its credit card business from Goldman Sachs, in what would be one of the biggest credit card deals ever.

The Journal says talks have been underway since early last year, and the deal is not finalized yet.

Goldman Sachs has been trying to exit the partnership since 2023 as it leaves the consumer lending market.
